SANDALWOOD OIL

SANDALWOOD OIL

Grounding and warm. Ideal for meditation, perfumes, or deep skincare.

Extracted from the heartwood of sandalwood trees, this oil is known for its warm, woody, and calming aroma.

To use sandalwood oil, ALWAYS perform a patch test first by applying a small amount of oil diluted with a carrier oil to a patch of skin to check for reactions. For aromatherapy, diffuse a few drops in an essential oil infuser or inhale deeply from a tissue. For skin or hair, dilute 1-3 drops of sandalwood oil with a teaspoon of carrier oil, such as jojoba or almond oil, and apply it to the skin or scalp.

How to use:

For Topical Application

  1. Perform a patch test:  Before applying to a large area, mix a small amount of sandalwood oil with a carrier oil or lotion and apply it to a small patch of your skin to check for any allergic reactions.
  2. Dilute with a carrier oil:  Sandalwood oil is potent and should always be diluted with a carrier oil like jojoba, almond, coconut, or argan oil. A safe dilution is typically 1-3 drops of essential oil per teaspoon of carrier oil.
  3. Create a DIY facial oil:  Mix 2-3 drops of sandalwood oil with a tablespoon of a carrier oil, like jojoba or argan oil, and gently massage into your face after cleansing for moisture.
  4. Make a soothing massage oil:  Combine 5-10 drops of sandalwood oil with 2 tablespoons of a carrier oil and use it for a relaxing massage to calm the mind and soothe skin.
  5. Add to lotions or balms:  Mix a few drops of sandalwood oil into your favorite lotion or balm to moisturize the skin.
  6. Infuse shampoo or conditioner:  Add a few drops of sandalwood oil to a single-use amount of your regular shampoo or conditioner to provide moisturizing care for the hair and scalp.
  7. Incorporate into bathwater:  Add a few diluted drops of sandalwood oil to warm bath water to promote relaxation
